Rather than discarding the solids, however, the spagyric process continues. The remaining plant material undergoes calcination, producing a purified white mineral ash. This mineral fraction is then reunited with the original tincture, completing the process.
This final reunification is what distinguishes spagyric processing from conventional extraction methods. Rather than viewing the remaining plant material as waste, the process seeks to preserve a broader representation of the original plant.
Unlike simply consuming the whole plant, spagyric processing separates the botanical into its traditionally recognized constituent groups, purifies each individually, and then reunites them.
